TRION-climate e.V.
TRION-climate is a Franco-German-Swiss network of energy and climate stakeholders in the trinational Upper Rhine region. Established in 2015 as part of the Upper Rhine Conference, the non-profit association began with eight founding members.
Following its establishment, the network was initially expanded to include energy suppliers and the major cities of the Upper Rhine region. Since then, numerous public and private energy sector organisations have joined TRION-climate e.V. At the end of 2015, the network had 22 members; ten years later, this figure had risen to 110, of whom approximately 45 per cent were from Germany, 35 per cent from France and 20 per cent from Switzerland.
The TRION-climate e.V. office is based at the centre for cross-border cooperation in Kehl, in the immediate vicinity of Strasbourg.
A trilingual team coordinates the association’s activities and is available to assist members and interested parties with any enquiries or information requests.
