TRION-climate e.V. is a French-German-Swiss network of energy and climate stakeholders in the trinational Upper Rhine region. The non-profit association was established in 2015 by the authorities of the Upper Rhine Conference, and initially consisted of 8 members.
Following its creation, the Network initially expanded to include energy providers and major cities within the Upper Rhine region. Since then, a wide range of public and private organisations from the energy sector have joined TRION-climate. By the end of 2015, the network had grown to 22 members, rising to 56 in 2016. In the years that followed, membership continued to increase to 70, 80 and 83 respectively. At the end of 2019, the association counted 88 members. Today, TRION-climate has 104 members.
