Clim’Ability Care
Promoting a culture of climate risk management in business of the Upper Rhine region (05/2023 – 04/2026)

Project Objective:
Building on the earlier Clim’Ability and Clim’Ability Design projects, Clim’Ability Care aims to promote a new corporate culture centred on a comprehensive approach to climate risks, encompassing alert, mitigation, adaptation and ongoing stewardship (care) across all business operations.
The project follows a roadmap designed to identify critical infrastructure that could trigger cascading effects, thereby amplify climate impacts. Updating available open-source tools to support businesses in developing climate resilience, as well as testing targeted solutions that could be scaled up, forms part of the response to these challenges.
The project seeks to develop a clearer understanding of corporate cultures in the region and to provide practical resilience solutions. These will take the form of an updated toolkit (including audits, mapping of critical infrastructure, etc.), open-source methodologies to build stakeholder expertise, and a set of tested solutions applied at pilot sites relevant to the region.
The project will conclude with a campaign to promote this new corporate culture at a cross-border site within the Upper Rhine region.
